Why Australian teams choose Snapforms

Advanced logic, payments and approvals built in

Snapforms branches on any answer and can send a respondent back to an earlier question, take a payment, capture a legally binding signature and route the submission for approval. The process runs inside the form rather than as a separate automation project.

Australian storage, regardless of when you started

Snapforms stores your form data in Australia regardless of when you started. There is no cutoff date and no tenant history to check: the forms you built years ago and the ones you build today are held in the same place.

Built for forms the public will fill in

Snapforms accepts file uploads from any respondent, whether or not they have an account with you, autocompletes Australian addresses and lets a part-completed form be saved and resumed. A public form can collect a licence, a certificate or a photograph without asking the person to sign in first.

Where your form data is stored

Snapforms stores your form data in Australia on every plan, with no dependency on when you signed up. For Microsoft Forms it depends on a date: Microsoft's own residency table shows Australian tenants storing Forms data in the United States if they provisioned Forms on or before 12 October 2022, and in Australia only if they started afterwards. There is no supported migration for the older tenants, and no administrator setting that shows which side of that date your tenant falls on.

Snapforms vs Microsoft Forms

Both products do the same core job: build a form, publish it, and collect and process the responses. These are the differences that matter for Australian teams.

The limitations tend to surface once a form leaves your own tenant and the people filling it in do not have a login.

Everything you need in one form platform

Snapforms is built for everything a public-facing business form has to do once it has collected the answers.

Build

Drag-and-drop builder with conditional logic, calculations, repeating sections, multi-page forms and validation, with no developer required.

Collect

File uploads from anyone, payments, e-signatures, Australian address lookup, photo capture and save-and-resume, for respondents who do not have an account with you.

Automate

Approval routing, conditional notifications, generated PDFs, webhooks and integrations with the systems you already run.

Manage

A submissions dashboard with search, filters, role-based access, an audit trail and retention controls.

Bringing your forms across

The trigger is usually a specific limitation: a document has to be collected from the public, a payment has to be taken, or the data location has to be evidenced. Moving everything is not necessary, so start with the process that has run into the limitation.

  1. Identify the form that has run into a limitation, usually one requiring an attachment or a payment.
  2. Send us the questions and we will rebuild it, including the routing and notifications.
  3. Publish the rebuilt form and route submissions into SharePoint, Teams or your line-of-business system.
