Why Australian teams choose Snapforms
An Australian data centre, on every plan
Snapforms stores your form data in Australia on every plan. Australian residency is not reserved for an enterprise tier or dependent on a region you have to request.
Built for business forms, not just surveys
Snapforms is built for the forms that run an organisation, such as applications, registrations, incident reports, onboarding and intake, with approvals, payments, e-signatures, file uploads and PDF generation as first-class features. Surveys collect opinions; these forms start processes.
Australian support and setup help
A Melbourne-based team that will build your forms with you, answer procurement and privacy questionnaires, and are available by email and live chat during Australian business hours.
Where your form data is stored
Snapforms stores your form data in Australia on every plan. SurveyMonkey runs three data centre regions and Australia is not one of them. For an Australian agency, health service or insurer with a data-sovereignty requirement, that is a threshold question rather than a point of negotiation.

Snapforms vs SurveyMonkey
Both products do the same core job: build a form, publish it, and collect and process the responses. These are the differences that matter for Australian teams.
SurveyMonkey is a survey and research tool. Most of the differences concern what happens after a response is submitted.

Most teams are not migrating surveys. They are replacing a workaround, where a survey tool was being used for an application or registration process it was never designed for. That usually means a rebuild, which we carry out with you.
- Export your existing questions, or send us the survey link.
- We rebuild it as a business form with the logic, approvals and outputs the process requires.
- Export your historical responses from SurveyMonkey for your own records before you close the account.
Not using SurveyMonkey yet? There is nothing to move. Start from a ready-made template and we will help you build your first form during the trial.
Snapforms and SurveyMonkey: common questions
No. SurveyMonkey's trust centre and international data centre documentation list AWS data centres in the United States, Canada and Ireland. Data is stored in the US unless another region is specified, and the EU region is available only to Enterprise customers.
Snapforms handles surveys, but it is built for business forms such as applications, registrations, intake, incident reporting and onboarding, where the submission has to trigger an approval, a payment, a document or a record in another system. If you only need survey analysis and benchmarking, SurveyMonkey does that better.
From $89 per month billed monthly, or $81.58 per month billed annually, in Australian dollars. All plans include Australian hosting and Australian support.
Yes, export them from SurveyMonkey before closing your account. We can help you get historical data into a usable format, though the two systems structure responses differently so it is generally kept as an archive rather than imported.
