Managing Metered Add-ons

Powered by trusted third-party providers, Snapforms’ metered add-ons let you enhance your forms with extra functionality, such as:

• SMS – Automate text message alerts to form respondents or team members, or use SMS to verify mobile phone numbers.
• Address Lookups – Allow respondents to look up their address for faster, more accurate submissions.

Metered add-ons are free on the Business plan and above, up to your plan’s monthly usage allowance. See usage limits below.

Each add-on requires activation, which also serves as your agreement to any overage charges that may apply for usage beyond the included limits of your plan.

Activating a metered add-on

Organisation Admin users can activate a metered add-on directly within a form, or from Account Settings > Add-ons. This only needs to be done once.

Tracking add-on usage

Once activated, you can easily track your usage and view estimated overage billing in your Account Settings > Add-ons. Overage is billed monthly using the same payment method as your Snapforms subscription.

Usage limits

SMS

• Each notification SMS sent counts as 1 SMS
• Each mobile verification SMS sent counts as 1 SMS

Address lookups

• Each selection of an address from the drop-down list counts as 1 Lookup. Multiple selections count towards the usage even on the same form submission. 

Overage 

Overage is billed at $11/month for each additional block of 100 SMS or Address Lookups.

Cancelling a metered add-on

Organisation Admin users can cancel a metered add-on in Account Settings > Add-ons. When a metered add-on is deactivated, the field will remain in existing forms but the functionality will be disabled.
